My Super Bowl XLV Commercial Picks

Posted in Advertising, Branding on 07.02.11

I have been a bit of a blogging slacker lately but I am thankful that it is because thing sat Garnet  have been busy! I tweeted the other day ‘You know it’s been a busy day when I didn’t get on #Twitter before 11pm’.  A follower responded that it was because I was putting clients first and she thought that was great.  Good point.  Social media is a tool for having conversations with clients and potential clients.  But, that doesn’t mean you should let it get in the way of what you really promise to do for them.  You have to find a balance for sure and sometimes that is very hard to do!

Anyway, this morning I wanted to share three of my favorite Super Bowl commercials (in no particular order).  I would love to hear what you liked and why as well!

Bridgestone- Reply All
Who hasn’t been in this guys shoes before!?

Verizon- Yes, I Can Hear You Now
I love this one personally because ‘I can’t hear anyone now’ on my current carrier.  But, I also love that they didn’t change their entire concept- they just tied the new in with the old.  Well done, Verizon.

Chrysler- Imported from Detroit
I have always been a Eminem fan- random, I know.  Sure, Chrysler’s goal is to sell cars and I am sure Marshall Mathers was well paid for his appearance.  But still, kudos to them for investing their time and money in something that gives back to their city instead of just another car commercial.
